Doctorate of Medicine (with Distinction) B.Occ.Thy. (Hons)

 

Laura joins the team as a GP registrar. After growing up in Central Queensland, Laura graduated from UQ with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2010. She worked for a number of years in Occupational Rehabilitation, facilitating the rehabilitation of physically and psychologically injured patients. Laura graduated from Flinders University, Adelaide in 2017 with a Doctor of Medicine with Distinction. Having worked in the hospital sector on the Gold and Sunshine Coast, she brings her passion for being a patient centred family doctor to General Practice.

 

Laura is interested in all aspects of medicine including:

 

  • General Medicine
  • Endocrinology and diabetes management
  • Chronic disease management
  • Geriatrics
  • Women’s health and antenatal care
  • Child and adolescent health
  • Occupational rehabilitation

 

Laura has a true passion for lifelong learning. While working to obtain her fellowship in General Practice she is completing a Diploma in Child Health. Away from medicine, she takes every opportunity to spend time with her husband and young son, getting outdoors and keeping fit and active.
